Car-Free Earth Day. Hosted by NYC Department of Transportation (DOT), this annual citywide event celebrates Earth Day with select city streets open for walking, biking, and car-free strolling. Enjoy family-friendly, interactive pop-up programming in Flatiron & NoMad. Weather permitting & while supplies last.

free fitness classes:
- SOUK Yoga Studio: SOUK Community Power – 10 – 11 am, Flatiron South Plaza
- An invigorating class that combines traditional Ashtanga-based Sun Salutations with bodyweight strength training, targeted core exercises, and cooling yoga postures. This transformative journey seamlessly shifts between yoga and strength training, guiding you through sequences that ignite your inner fire and empower your body and mind.
- Bring Your Mat: This class requires a yoga or workout mat. We ask that you bring your mat to safely and comfortably enjoy the class.
- Chelsea Piers Fitness: Cardio Dance – 12 – 1 pm, Flatiron South Plaza
- Dance your way through this 45-minute Cardio Dance class while enjoying a variety of music and dance styles! The instructor uses easy-to-follow moves balancing fast and slow rhythms (interval training) to keep your heart pumping and body moving. No previous dance experience required. Wear sneakers and get ready to get down!
- Bring Your Mat: This class requires a yoga or workout mat. We ask that you bring your mat to safely and comfortably enjoy the class.
- Note: Please arrive early. Registration on-site. All participants must sign a waiver to participate. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver.
FREE CITI BIKE RIDES:
Through the support of Lyft, Citi Bike will offer free unlimited 30-minute rides on a classic Citi Bike on Open Streets: Car-Free Earth Day. All riders may take advantage of the offer by using the promo code CARFREE24 in the Citi Bike app.
