Founded in 1986 in SoHo, Alidoro has opened its newest location in the neighborhood. For 40 years, Alidoro has been serving up high-quality Italian sandwiches made with premium imported ingredients and modern craftsmanship. Led by CEO Jon Streep, Alidoro has expanded across New York City while maintaining its independent spirit and continuing to redefine the common quick-service experience. At the 1,000 square foot One Madison location, guests can enjoy the atmosphere of a classic Italian paninoteca with the vibrant, bustling energy of the city. Every sandwich is made fresh daily using traditional Italian sandwich-making techniques, prioritizing close attention to detail, from ingredient sourcing to preparation. The menu features a range of 21 signature Italian sandwiches each with distinct, refined, and balanced flavors.
Each sandwich features layered imported meats, cheeses, marinated vegetables, and house-made spreads served on freshly-baked bread. Choose between a variety of cold and hot sandwiches, or build your own custom order. Try the namesake Alidoro featuring prosciutto, hot peppers, sweet roasted peppers, arugula, fennel, mushroom paste, and hot spread. Mountain sports lifestyle retailer Salomon has opened their newest location in Flatiron. Founded in 1947 in the French Alps as a skiing outfitter, Salomon has evolved into a global performance and sportstyle company. The 4,390 square foot space in the neighborhood is the brand’s fourth storefront in New York City, and offers products for running, hiking, skiing, and snowboarding as well as apparel and accessories. “This store is not only a place to discover product,” says Salomon President and CEO Guillaume Meyzenq. “It’s a platform to connect with the community – to meet, to run, to share experiences and to express what the modern mountain sports lifestyle looks like in a city like New York.” Unique to the Flatiron location are custom interior design elements including a floor-to-ceiling glass graphic of the five boroughs with the route of the New York City Marathon. Additionally, a red brick feature wall with reclaimed material sourced from Williamsburg highlights the city’s historic architecture.
Guests can explore and shop the bright, modern space featuring the latest shoes, clothing, bags, accessories, and equipment. Los Tacos No. 1, 27 East 23rd Street, @lostacos1
Los Tacos No. 1 have recently opened their latest location in Flatiron. Founded in 2013 by three friends from Tijuana, Mexico and Brawley, California, Los Tacos No. 1 serves authentic Mexican street food in the heart of New York City. After spending months in Tijuana observing local taqueros and gathering family recipes, founders Christian Pineda, Tyler Sanders, and Kyle Cameron opened the first Los Tacos No. 1 in Chelsea Market. Today, the popular taqueria has expanded to several locations across NYC and is frequented by visitors and locals alike.
The menu offers a selection of tacos, tostadas, quesadillas, mulas, sides, and drinks, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
