Celebrate Flatiron NoMad Event Recap
Neighborhood business owners, employees, and residents gathered at The Glass Ceiling last Tuesday for Celebrate Flatiron NoMad, a networking event toasting our new chapter as an expanded district. We welcomed familiar faces as well as new stakeholders from across our footprint, which nearly doubled in size this year.
150 guests mingled with neighborhood movers and shakers at the rooftop venue and enjoyed a select bar and passed appetizers. The event served as a showcase for our new Flatiron NoMad Partnership name and branding, as well as marking the first six months of expanded business improvement district (BID) programs and services across NoMad, 6th Avenue, and 20th Street.
“While the last two and a half years have been challenging, it’s important that we gather together as neighbors to celebrate Flatiron and NoMad’s resiliency and the people who help make this an unparalleled destination and an epicenter of possibilities,” said James Mettham, President of the Partnership.
“We have much to be grateful for, including the world-renowned branding and design firms, LaPlaca Cohen and Pentagram, who we worked with to create our vibrant new brand; Kudos Design Collaboratory, which developed our new website; and the Partnership’s staff, our Rebrand Task Force, and the BID Expansion Steering Committee whose years of hard work have resulted in the larger, more cohesive business improvement district we have today,” shared Michael Cohen, Chairman of the Partnership’s Board of Directors.
