EDC Announces Manhattan Commercial Revitalization (M-CORE)

NYCEDC has announced a program to help building owners adapt their properties as the commercial office market evolves in the wake of Covid-19.

The program offers:

  • Real property tax abatement and stabilization
  • Partial mortgage recording tax exemption
  • Sales tax exemption

 

For more information, including eligibility requirements, please visit EDC’s webpage. Owners are encouraged to apply for this competitive program promptly as limited funding is available. Pre-applications will be available on June 8, 2023.

  • Nepal Day Parade: Sunday, May 21st from 11 am – 6 pm on Madison Avenue from 38th and 27th Street between Park Avenue South and Fifth Avenue.

 

Neighborhood Updates

  • Street Closures:
    • West 21st Street between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue will be closed from 9 am – 4 pm through Saturday, May 20th to install water and sewer services.
    • West 29th Street between Broadway and Fifth Avenue will be closed from 6 am – 3 pm Saturday, May 20th to facilitate crane operation.
    • East 19th Street between Broadway and Park Avenue South will be closed from 6 am – 2 pm Sunday, May 21st to facilitate crane operation.
