The Jewelry Library: PUT A BROOCH ON IT
NOW – 11/20
Part Instagram diary, part performance art, and part jewelry activation, PUT A BROOCH ON IT invites jewelry lovers everywhere to give something familiar a new life.
Our crack team will deploy to the five boroughs in this traveling news show to initiate bite-sized chats with New Yorkers about the stories and history behind the brooches they’re wearing. The @put.a.brooch.on.it Instagram will serve as the hub for this series of roaming investigations.
Follow us each morning on Instagram @put.a.brooch.on.it to see where we’ll be!
In addition, join us in person at The Jewelry Library in NYC for Babka and Brooches 101.
Danielle deCongé
Originally from Baltimore, Danielle deCongé sprouted her burgeoning artistic wings at The Park School, where a junior year interview with Betty Cooke sparked her interest in pursuing a BFA in Jewelry & Fine Metals at Pratt Institute in New York City. Her creative pursuits at deCongé Jewelry & Alchemy flourished before she took an extended holiday in London to study Creative & Cultural Entrepreneurship (ICCE) at the University of London, Goldsmiths just before the coronavirus pandemic. Perhaps most importantly, she is a cat mom to a 12-year-old diabetic tuxedo.
