Marcus Samuelsson is equal parts chef, restaurateur, author, and activist behind the inaugural Rise Residency at Denniston Hill. This first-of-its-kind fellowship provides direct mentorship and a creative retreat for two recipients in the culinary industry.
Sanford Biggers is a former artist-in-residence at Denniston Hill and a celebrated contemporary artist, educator, and GRAMMY-winning musician whose diverse practice examines the interplay of narrative, perspective, and history, challenging official narratives through visual and sonic art.
