Eric Revis – double bass
Damion Reid – drums

John Escreet returns to the Jazz Gallery showcasing his working group with Eric Revis on bass and Damion Reid on drums. This explosive rhythm section has developed a remarkable rapport over the past few years, appearing together for the first time on Escreet’s extraordinary 2022 trio release “Seismic Shift” as well as on 2024’s “the epicenter of your dreams”

Tonight’s show will consist of repertoire from both albums and will feature special guest saxophonist the great Chris Potter.

“The agility and interplay between the three, on what is Escreet’s first-ever trio recording, makes the entirety of Seismic Shift a joyful, “hell, yeah” listen” – Downbeat

“Together, the three have achieved a remarkable rapport, moving as a unit through pieces with sudden tempo changes and dynamics that range from all out sonic assault to pristine delicacy.” – The Wall Street Journal

“Seismic Shift is a gorgeously arresting album, and there’s never a moment where you can easily predict where Escreet’s trio is going to go next.” – All Music
