This show is a journey through time and space as we perform for you a collection of music composed by Idris Frederick. Idris’s music has been described as ethereal, heavy hitting, extremely funky, and infectious. We hope to bring you a performance that not only will keep you on the edge of your seat but will also leave you with a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you through the power of music.
Idris is a 26 year old a pianist and composer who was born in Detroit MI. Before moving to New York to study at The New School of Jazz , he spent the first 6 years of his career performing alongside some of the biggest talents in and around the midwest. He is now living in New York City and has quickly become one of the most sought after pianists around as he also paves a way with his unique and electrifying approach to the instrument. He has been music directing, touring, accompanying and sound designing for artists like Topaz Jones, Cleo Reed, Linda Diaz, J Hoard, Elah Hale, Amanda Barise, and Tivon Penicott just to name a few. Now he is expanding his career to global lengths and aims to change lives with the power of music.
