INDN, 30 West 30th Street, (917) 261-2379, @indn.nyc
The new regional Indian restaurant INDN in NoMad is led by husband-and-wife team Simran & Kanika. With their passion in food and hospitality, INDN is their second venture following the success of Spice Bazaar in New Jersey and Bukhara Grill in Midtown, that was owned and operated by Vicky Vij, Kanika’s father for over 20 years. While NYC is bursting with options, Simran and Kanika saw the opportunity to open a restaurant that emphasized Indian small plates and craft cocktails in a lively and elegant ambiance.
To start, head to the bar to enjoy a signature cocktail such as the Pink City, Red Flags made with Truman vodka, St. Germain, Bianco, grapefruit, and Indian tonic or Ready to Chai featuring Grey Goose, chai coffee, Santa Teresa, Licor 43, and Dalgona. Complement your beverages with a few bold small plates made to share. Order the Keema Pao, buttered pao bread with slow-cooked minced lamb and the Salmon Tikka, a golden-grilled chili-marinated salmon. For a vegetarian dish, savor the Paneer Tikka, featuring flavorful tandoori paneer in a mint marinade. INDN also offers large plates, including Traditional Butter Chicken or Dal Bukhara, an original Bukhara Grill’s 49th St. special. Enjoy with Garlic Naan or Pudina Lachha Parantha, a layered mint flatbread. For dessert, indulge in Shahi Tukda, a classic Indian bread pudding. Join INDN for your next date night or dinner with friends! INDN is open daily from 5 pm – 1:30 am.
