Founded by Antonio Barbieri, former executive sous chef at Michelin-starred restaurant Eleven Madison Park, Brown Bag Sandwich Co. has opened its second NYC location in Flatiron. Brown Bag reimagines classic chopped sandwiches that are each made to order and are inspired by the everyday deli of the city. “We opened in Greenwich Village in 2024, and Flatiron felt like the natural next step,” says Antonio. “There’s a strong office community here, but people are still part of a neighborhood vibe and still care about quality, which lines up perfectly with how we approach food.” Brown Bag was inspired by Antonio daily trip to the local corner store for a simple sandwich after nights in the kitchen at Eleven Madison Park. Each sandwich was accessible, a comfort meal, and an essential NYC staple. Brown Bag was opened to bring together two worlds, a chef’s attention to detail into an approachable neighborhood sandwich shop.

At Brown Bag, enjoy a variety of fresh and delicious hot or cold sandwiches for your next lunch or dinner. Savor a Loaded Chopped Cheese topped with bacon, fried crispy onions, and barbecue sauce on a sesame hero. Or, try a Spicy Chicken Cutlet featuring house-made spicy vodka sauce and sweet hot cherry peppers. For a cold option, order a classic Turkey Club with house-made roast turkey, Mike’s hot honey, and tarragon & black pepper aioli. The French-Asian inspired bakery Tous les Jours has recently opened a new location in the district. Tous les Jours philosophy is rooted in transforming everyday moments into extraordinary experiences. Guests can enjoy fresh, premium-baked goods from pastries to breads, gourmet cakes, and handcrafted beverages that combine tradition with innovation. “We’re thrilled to join the Flatiron and NoMad neighborhood in New York City,” says Regina Schneider, Chief Marketing Officer. “Located near some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, this is the perfect spot to welcome commuters, New Yorkers, and tourists alike. GOGYO Gramercy has opened its first U.S. location in Flatiron. Serving up an elevated ramen concept, GOGYO is under the globally renowned IPPUDO brand that’s rooted in The Five Elements Theory, an ancient Eastern philosophy that explains how the world is shaped by the dynamic balance of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Originally founded in Japan in 1985, GOGYO now brings brings a refined ramen experience to New York City. “Opening in Flatiron and NoMad places GOGYO at the intersection of history with neighborhoods that value craft and ideas as much as they do great food,” says the GOGYO Gramercy Team. “New York has always been a place where traditions are respected but never left untouched, and that mindset mirrors how we approach ramen. To begin your dining experience, try a selection of appetizers from sushi and sashimi to Washoku-inspired dishes. For your main, choose from a range of popular ramen options including the Kogashi Miso Ramen, their signature burnt ramen, that’s crafted from five blended misos and then charred at 572°F (300°C). Additional highlights include the Kiwami Tonkotsu, a reimagined take on classic Tonkotsu ramen and the Homura Spicy featuring spicy miso ramen with a savory bolognese base accompanied by crisp tempura and fresh greens. Try the Shoyu Tsuke-men, made with chilled noodles served with a multi-layered dipping broth and a touch of caviar combining smoky, savory, and umami notes.
