New Neighbor: NoMad Diner

We’re excited to welcome NoMad Diner, the new restaurant within Arlo NoMad. Located at 11 East 31st Street, NoMad Diner elevates diner classics and serves up tasty dishes that are both comfort food and innovative.

“We’re delighted to join our fellow NoMad & Flatiron restaurateurs, hoteliers, business owners and neighbors in this ever evolving and dynamic neighborhood,” says Megan Grauer, Director of Outlets at Arlo NoMad. “Arlo NoMad has been proud to sit on 31st street since 2016 and we’re excited to now share NoMad Diner with our friends and guests.”

NoMad Diner is led by Chef Fred Maurer, formerly of BKLYN Larder, Braeburn, Perilla, and Bar Boulud. A go-to dining destination day or night, NoMad Diner takes its inspiration from New York City’s eclectic neighborhoods and its rich culinary history. For breakfast, try the Green Shakshuka featuring Zhoug, eggs, queso fresco, and grilled sourdough. On the sweeter side indulge in the Bread Budding French Toast with maple syrup and powdered sugar.

During lunch or dinner order the Spanakopita to share featuring fresh spinach, feta cheese, Greek yogurt, phyllo dough, butter, and nigella seeds. Savor a Truffle Chicken Salad Sandwich on sourdough with watercress, tomato, and potato chips. Or, try NoMad Diner’s spin on a classic, Vegetarian Sloppy Joe made with vegan chorizo, pickled red onion, cilantro, potato chips, and queso fresco on a potato roll. Choose from a variety of entrees including the Grilled Pork Chop Scarpariello made with Berkshire pork chop, spicy cherry peppers, broccoli rabe, and grilled sourdough. Save room for dessert and try a decadent Carrot Cake with toasted coconut and cream cheese frosting.

Pair your meal with a cocktail such as The Green Door with honey vodka, pistachio orgeat, rosewater, orange blossom, lime, and egg white. Join the Cocktail Club at NoMad Diner when you order 10 cocktails (at any time) and enjoy a free cocktail and appetizer. Also, stop in for Lucky Hour Tuesday through Saturday from 4 – 7 pm and enjoy drink and food specials.
