New Neighbor: Kraam
We’re excited to welcome Kraam, the new Thai restaurant to the neighborhood. Located at 254 Fifth Avenue in NoMad, Kraam serves authentic Thai cuisine with playful culinary twists.
“We are ecstatic to be a part of the NoMad neighborhood and invite you to join us on this celebratory journey of our Thai culinary destination,” says Pong, Co-Founder of Kraam.
Kraam means ‘indigo’ or ‘organic dye’ and is also synonymous with ‘craft’ or ‘wisdom passed down through generations.’ The restaurant was inspired by the founder’s childhood memories and travels throughout the various regions of Thailand as well as the desire to host friends and families over a delicious meal.
Upon entering Kraam, guests are met by a welcoming ambiance. The rotating menu features regional Thai dishes using high quality and seasonal ingredients. To start, order an appetizer such as Koi Tuna, a Thai style yellowfin tuna tartare on lettuce cups garnished with crispy shallots and toasted rice. Savor an aromatic soup such as Tom Kha Huaplee, a creamy coconut base soup with banana blossoms and aromatic herbs. Reinvented classics include Khao Sui, made with chicken confit, braised beef cheeks, or crispy soft shell crab.
Pair your meal with a craft cocktail and save room to indulge in dessert.
Join Kraam for your next dinner with friends and family!
Kraam is open Tuesday through Sunday.
