NYC DOT 6th Ave Updates: Beginning this fall, NYC DOT will implement offset bus lanes and safety improvements along 6th Avenue, from Houston Street to 31st Street. Please view the flyer for more information.

DSNY Update: As of September 1, 2026, businesses located within the Midtown South Commercial Waste Zone (CWZ)–which includes the Flatiron & NoMad Neighborhoods–must have a new waste collection agreement with a DSNY-authorized CWZ carter. If your business currently contracts directly with a private waste hauler, please note that new contracts must have been signed by August 31, 2026. Neighborhood Activations:

• Mexican Independence Day Parade: Sunday, September 20 on Madison Avenue from 38th Street to 27th Street

Street Closures:

• West 20th Street between Sixth Avenue and Fifth Avenue will be closed from 11am to 11:59pm Saturday and Sunday through September 29 as part of ongoing construction projects in the area.

Con Edison Work Notices:

• Now – September 18, from 7am – 3:30pm, Con Edison will perform ECS support work and continue hand care excavations at the intersection of East 29th Street and Fifth Avenue.
• Now – October 30, Con Edison will be performing gas upgrade work on West 25th Street between Broadway and Sixth Avenue on weekdays from 7am – 4pm.
