Día de Muertos is BACK in Flatiron & NoMad

Join us for our annual Día de Muertos celebration on November 1st in the Flatiron North Plaza!

This public event will feature several elements integral to this historical Mexican tradition including a folkloric ballet, interactive altar in partnership with the School of Visual Arts – Continuing Education, family activities, and Catrina face painting.

Flatiron NoMad Partnership Receives Downtown Achievement Award of Excellence

The International Downtown Association recognized the Flatiron NoMad Partnership with the Downtown Achievement Award of Excellence for its resourceful approaches related to the organization’s rebranding following the expansion of its business improvement district (BID) boundaries in 2022.

New Neighbor: The Salon at SONA

We’re excited to welcome The Salon at SONA, the new cocktail and tea lounge within the upscale Indian restaurant located at 36 East 20th Street in Flatiron.

“There is nothing like this neighborhood, and I’m thrilled to give our fellow local residents something entirely new with The Salon at SONA,” says restauranteur Maneesh K. Goyal.

The Salon at SONA is open from 12 pm – close Thursday through Sunday and 5 pm – close Monday through Wednesday.

Get Involved: Midtown South Mixed-Use Plan

The Midtown South Mixed-Use Plan (MSMX) seeks to foster vibrant, 24/7 mixed-use neighborhoods across 42 blocks of Midtown South. The MSMX Plan focuses on these centrally-located areas where new housing is not permitted under today’s half century-old zoning rules.

Community members are encouraged to join the MSMX public kickoff meeting on Tuesday, October 17 at 7:00pm via Zoom and fill out a short survey to get involved to help shape the future of Midtown South.
