DSNY: Official NYC Bin Availability Expands Citywide

The NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY) announced that all nine sizes and colors of official NYC Bins are now available for in-store pickup at NYC Home Depot locations including our local store located at 40 West 23rd Street. Home delivery is also available via Instacart, DoorDash, or UberEats.

Buildings with 1 to 9 residential units will be required to use NYC Bins for their trash starting in June 2026. Learn more about containerization, here.

Con Edison Work Notice: From March 4 – July 31, Con Edison will be performing gas upgrade work on West 26th Street between Sixth Avenue and Seventh Avenue on weekdays from 9 am – 4 pm.

Open-Grille Security Gates: Local businesses must comply with a long-standing requirement for open-grille security gates by July 1, 2026.
