Movers & Shakers: Kayla Howard, General Manager of Equinox NoMad

Meet Kayla Howard, General Manager at Equinox NoMad. Opening today at 31 West 27th Street, the club is defined by the brand as an “expansive home for those who want it all.”

“Equinox has been an integral part of my life since joining the team in 2019 after transitioning from hotel management,” says Kayla. “I have never been surrounded by so many high-performing individuals who want to be the best version of themselves.”

Kayla discusses her journey into fitness, her role as General Manager at the new club, and what she likes most about Flatiron & NoMad.

Summer Streets are Back

NYC Summer Streets has returned! On Saturdays, August 5, 12, & 19 from 7 am – 1 pm, NYC’s streets will be open for people to play, walk, run, and bike.

Enjoy nearly eight miles of car-free streets from the Brooklyn Bridge to East Harlem including blocks of Park Avenue South through Flatiron & NoMad.

DSNY Announcement: Food-Related Businesses Must Containerize Waste

The NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY) is implementing a new rule to send rats packing. As of August 1st, all food-related businesses in NYC must use rigid containers with secure lids when setting out trash for collection.

Per recent setout rules, businesses that place waste on the curb have two options:

• Place waste at the curb one hour before closing or after 8:00 PM

DSNY is hosting a series of one-hour information sessions through August 28th. Please register for sessions in advance by clicking here.
