MoMath is honored to host a black-tie party for the launch of Frida 100 Years, a traveling exhibition from American Friends of Mexico, celebrating the centennial of Frida Kahlo’s birth as an artist — a queer artist — embodied as she completed her first fresco self-portrait in 1923. The program will unveil its new acquisition, a Frida Kahlo sculpture made in Spain by Lladró, preceding its first public exhibit in Miami.

Join us on Friday, June 30 at 6:00 pm to discover Frida Kahlo’s Mexican legacy, still present today in the worlds of art, environmental policy, hospitality, and design.  Share in the wonder of how Frida became an iconic inspiration for transcending her physical and mental imprisonment. Marvel at an installation of artworks inspired by Frida’s La Casa Azul, along with a showcase of Lladró sculptures.

Black-tie attire required. Register.
