This is very rare opportunity to learn traditional Japanese candy making “Amezaiku” from the first female candy artist, Candy 5.
Amezaiku is the Japanese candy craft artistry which has very long history in Japan and there are only 2 Japanese artists in US.
Candy5 bases in NYC and it is the one of rare visit she will make and teach in person.
She will also do Amezaiku performance right front of you!!
This workshop includes:
- Candy making performance by Candy5.
- Hands on Amezaiku instruction
( You will get to make 3 candies, 2 will be Halloween theme. ) - All ingredients for candy making.
- Wrapping for finished candies
All materials will be provided.
About the artist:
Candy5, Muyuki studied traditional Japanese candy art under master Kimura Takeo in 1994 and became the world’s first female candy artist in 300years. In 1996, she moved to Orland, Florida to perform at Walt Disney World’s Epcot. Since then she has entertained many guests for 17years with her amazing techniques at Japan pavilion.
She has appeared number of TV shows such as The Rosie O’Donnell show, Sweet dreams on Food Network and Travel Channel.
