In Loving Memory of Sabrina McFarland

It is with heavy hearts that we share that Sabrina McFarland, Staff Writer for Flatiron NoMad Partnership has recently passed away. Sabrina joined the Partnership in March 2012, where she wrote numerous historical features on the neighborhood and held interviews with notable locals. In her 12 years with our team she helped shape the storytelling of our iconic district through her passion and admiration for all things Flatiron & NoMad, both past and present.

Sabrina was a native New Yorker, growing up in Harlem before moving to the Upper West Side. She earned her BA in Psychology from The City College of New York and her MS in Journalism from Columbia University. An award-winning digital and print journalist, Sabrina worked at leading media brands including PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly. Throughout her distinguished career, Sabrina’s dedication to her writing was always there.

Sabrina will be deeply missed and will always be a member of our team at the Partnership. We wish her loved ones peace and comfort during this time.
