Time and Tide, 360 Park Avenue South, @timeandtidenyc
Inspired by the late Chef Jamal James Kent’s grandmother, Time and Tide serves a range of seafood with a focus on sustainability. At the helm of Time and Tide is Kent’s collaborator and friend Executive Chef Danny Garcia, Top Chef Season 21 Winner who is carrying on Kent’s legacy with this latest dining concept. The space features a light installation that provides a constant sunset amidst an 8-seat raw bar, a 19-seat front bar as well as a 100-seat dining room designed by architecture firm Modellus Novus. Unique to the space includes ocean-inspired photos along the restaurant’s walls by Japanese photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto.

Begin your dinner with a couple small plates such as Nori Fries and Sardine Toasts before ordering from the full menu that’s sectioned out by raw fish, small fish, and big fish dishes. Try the Oyster Pan Roast and the Leek Salad with Anchovies. Notable large plates include Seared Swordfish and Halibut Pithivier in puff pastry. Pair with a selection of sides and sauces to complement your meal. The beverage program is led by Kent Hospitality‘s Bar Director Harrison Ginsberg. Enjoy a range of cocktails including a Smoked Olive Martini as well as a curated wine selection. Join Time and Tide for your next date night or dinner with friends! Time and Tide is open daily from 5:30 – 10 pm. Make your reservation.

La Tête d’Or, 318 Park Avenue South, (212) 597-9155, @latetedorbydaniel
La Tête d’Or is Michelin-starred Chef Daniel Boulud’s New York-French steakhouse that brings together classic steakhouse traditions with a refined French flair. Named in tribute to the park in Boulud’s hometown of Lyon, France, La Tête d’Or blends his French roots and his life in New York City. Upon entering the restaurant designed by David Rockwell, guests are welcomed by soaring ceilings, deep blue banquettes, and warm wood and copper accents. Serving premium cuts and wood-fired flavors, the menu showcases celebrated dishes including wagyu beef, lobster, and tableside-carved prime rib in addition to Greenmarket vegetarian and vegan options.

Start your meal with the Maine Mussels Gratinées that’s topped with a chorizo-saffron crust or a classic Soupe à L’oignon, French onion soup made with onion-beef shank broth and Alpine cheese feuilleté. For a main, enjoy a range of steaks, chops and more. Try the 10 oz. Flatiron Olive-Fed Wagyu Steak with a selection of sauces or the Dover Sole Meunière with Lemon Caper Butter. Pair with a few sides such as Haricots Verts Amandine, Creamy Spinach, and Pomme Purée. Complement your meal with a cocktail or glass of wine such as The Flatiron featuring Weber Ranch vodka, pamplemousse, yuzu juice, and blood orange soda or the 1 Madison Martini with Bombay Sapphire gin, Ketel One citron, Cocchi Americano, and cucumber water. For dessert, indulge in a choice of cakes, sundaes, tarts, or cookies. Head to La Tête d’Or for your next dinner out! La Tête d’Or is open Tuesday – Saturday from 5 – 11 pm. Make your reservation.

Passerine, 36 East 20th Street, (212) 680-4945, @passerinenyc
Passerine is a new seasonal Indian restaurant led by Michelin-starred Chef Chetan Shetty formerly of Rania in D.C. and Owners Maneesh K. Goyal and Alvina Patel Buxani. The name Passerine derives from an Indian folktale, “The Songbird and The King,” which symbolizes freedom and creativity, reflecting Chef Shetty’s perspective on Indian cuisine and his endless curiosity. “We are so happy to have a business in Flatiron NoMad, an area that has become one of New York’s most vibrant dining destinations,” says Owners Maneesh and Alvina. “With the iconic Flatiron Building and Madison Square Park as its backdrop, it’s truly a special place to be. We both live in the neighborhood with our families, and the residents and visitors here are simply wonderful—creating a warm, welcoming community that makes this area feel like the heart of NYC.” Passerine’s menu combines Indian culinary techniques with local produce from the Union Square Greenmarket and spice blends sent by Chef Shetty’s mother in the Western Indian city of Pune.

Start off your dining experience in the Drawing Room with a drink and small bites before heading to the main dining room. Highlighted dishes include Chicken Kofta topped with pickled mushroom and truffle, Grilled Oysters with ajwain masala hollandaise, Sea Bass Vadagam with Konkani curry, and Blue Corn Bhakri with brown butter. Pair your dinner with a glass of wine from an extensive list curated by General Manager and Wine Director April Busch. Try spice-forward cocktails crafted by Bar Director Mario Castro such as the Singing Lark made with Haku vodka, spiced pear, peach, Indian chili tincture, and lemon. Save room for dessert and enjoy a selection of creative sweets by Pastry Director Michael Werrell. Savor your next delicious dinner at Passerine with friends or family! Passerine is open daily from 5 – 11 pm. Make your reservation.
