Our Día de Muertos event returns for 2023!

Join us for our annual Día de Muertos celebration!

This public event will feature several elements integral to this historical Mexican tradition, including a folkloric ballet, interactive altar in partnership with the School of Visual Arts – Continuing Education, family activities, and Catrina face painting.

Meet Amal Devani, a Flatiron and NoMad resident, entrepreneur, and owner of Octet, a fintech company, and Grapevine, the company’s first product.

“Believe it or not, my new venture borrows from every part of my experience and that’s what makes it so fun and engaging for me,” shares Amal. “ The potential to materially improve an industry and the lives of the people in it based on an idea I cooked up is extremely exciting.”

Local Spotlight: The Wilbraham

This year marks the Wilbraham hotel’s fifth anniversary on the National Register of Historic Places designation list.

Weekend Street Closure: West 26th Street – Sixth Avenue to Fifth Avenue

A hoisting crane will be positioned at the intersection of West 26th Street and Broadway this Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1. NYPD will be on-site to assist with traffic management. Street closures include the following:

  • Closed to vehicular traffic (PLEASE MOVE ALL PARKED VEHICLES BY 10 pm ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29)
    • Broadway from 25th Street to 27th Street (NoMad Piazza – public seating and outdoor will remain open)
    • West 26th Street from Sixth Avenue to Fifth Avenue
