Movers & Shakers: Jung Lee, Designer, Event Planner, and Founder of Jung Lee NY

Meet Jung Lee, designer, event planner, and founder of Jung Lee NY, a concept store specializing in luxury items for home and entertaining at 25 West 29th Street.

“I have a passion for design—the individual for whom it reflects, the mood it sets and the experience it creates, says Jung. “Events are like cinematography to me…they are an experience for everyone that’s there.”

Jung discusses her start in the event design industry in 2002, her collaboration with the First Lady and the White House to design the recent State Dinner, celebrating the Republic of Korea, and what she likes most about Flatiron & NoMad.

Tree Survey Volunteers Needed

On Earth Day, Council Member Rivera’s office kicked off the East Side Street Tree Survey, and volunteers are still needed to assist with surveying the tree beds in Council District 2!

Some of the questions are: whether the tree is there, concerns about health, is there a tree guard, what is the state of the soil, are there rat burrows, is there litter and what type, and is there signage.

The survey will be administered through Monday, June 5. A report will be generated to help inform City agencies and the community about the conditions of the street trees and beds in our neighborhoods.

To get involved, register here.
