Get to Know: Tone House

Meet Tone House, a premiere, athletic-based Strength & Conditioning training facility in NoMad. Located at 32 East 31st Street, Tone House opened in 2017 and offers a range of fun yet challenging Conditioning classes aimed at unleashing the inner athlete in everyone.

“We love being in the heart of NoMad. The neighborhood is diverse, vibrant and always growing, with plenty of great post workout options nearby,” says Elise Chretien, Brand Marketing Manager at Tone House. “It also makes for great scenery for our Friday mile runs to 23rd Street & back.”

Portal Art Installation Update

Portal, the groundbreaking public technology art sculpture connecting to Dublin, Ireland on the Flatiron South Plaza is temporarily turned off. The Portals team and partners in Dublin and New York are implementing solutions and will have it back on by the end of this week.

Midtown South Mixed-Use Plan: The NYC Department of Planning invites the public to learn more about the MSMX Plan by speaking directly with city planners and using their digital engagement tools to help understand the strengths, challenges, and opportunities for growth in Midtown South.

Dining Out NYC: Eligible food establishments are now welcome to apply for New York City’s permanent outdoor dining program, Dining Out NYC. Learn more and apply here.

NYC Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP): The NYC Department of Youth & Community Development coordinates SYEP for youth ages 14-24. Organizations can submit an application indicating their needs and are matched with NYC youth based on their interests, preferences, and skillset. Learn more here.

9 am – 3 pm at Pier 36.

  • Nepal Day Parade: Sunday, May 19th from 11 am – 6 pm on Madison Avenue from 38th Street to 27th Street between Park Avenue South and Fifth Avenue.

 

Con Edison Work Notice:

  • Con Edison will be doing gas upgrade work on Fifth Avenue between 26th and 27th Streets on Saturdays from 8 am – 6 pm and Sundays from 9 am – 6 pm through August 30th.
