New Neighbor: Avocaderia

We’re excited to welcome the flagship location of Avocaderia to 245 Fifth Avenue in NoMad. The seasonally-inspired, fast-casual restaurant offers salads, grain bowls, smoothies, and toasts that put a wholesome spin on familiar favorites.

“This location to us is a love letter to New York,” says Founder Alessandro Biggi. “It’s amazing to be on Fifth Avenue right between the Flatiron Building and the Empire State, and as an Italian expat, it’s a very special feeling. We look forward to welcoming everybody to our new home.”

Movers & Shakers: Vinzar, Co-Founder & Owner of The Clean Beauty Lab

Meet Vinzar, co-founder and the new sole owner of Clean Beauty Lab, a vegan salon and hair care line dedicated to the NYC clean beauty movement.

“My job is to be mostly an artist, but also part chemist, part scientist, part therapist, part healer. It’s a beautiful experience, to be able to cater to our clientele whose continued trust in us forges the exciting future of the clean beauty world at large,” says Vinzar.

Get to Know: Fierce Grace

Meet Fierce Grace, the hot yoga studio located at 284 Fifth Avenue, 2nd Floor in NoMad. A British brand, Fierce Grace was launched in the UK in 2000 and arrived in NYC in 2017 with studios in NoMad, Lower East Side, and Harlem.

“We are thrilled to be in NoMad, and provide our services to the area. Being a local resident myself, I knew this was the perfect location for us,” says NYC Owner & Senior Instructor Kelly Isaac.

Our Pedestrian Report Has Expanded

Our Q4 2022 Pedestrian Report features expanded foot traffic data and updated visuals that reveal trends at strategic locations around the neighborhood.

In November and December, Flatiron Plaza foot traffic reached 90% of pre-pandemic levels – around 58,000 visits each day. District-wide foot traffic surpassed 75% recovery and return-to-office rates reached 60% through December.
