New Neighbor: Hotel AKA NoMad

We’re excited to welcome Hotel AKA NoMad to the neighborhood, located at 131 Madison Avenue. Opening later this spring, the hotel will be the fourth NYC location for AKA, a global leader in luxury hospitality.

“Art and design have always been an important focus for AKA. Opening an AKA hotel in the NoMad district is a natural extension of our portfolio in New York City, as the neighborhood is a nexus for creativity and design,” says Larry Korman, CEO of AKA.

DSNY Waste Setout Times Have Changed

To reduce the time that trash, recycling, and curbside compost sits on sidewalks, the NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY) implemented the following policies for business waste on April 1st:

  • If using a container with a secure lid, place waste at the curb one hour before closing.
  • If putting bags directly on the curb, place waste out after 8:00 pm.
