New Neighbor: BK Pilates

Meet the newest location of BK Pilates located at 14 West 23rd Street, 3rd Floor in Flatiron. Founded in 2012 by Marina Kaydanova, BK Pilates has several locations including one in NoMad at 38 East 28th Street.

“We have been in Flatiron/NoMad since 2017! We love everything about it— the mixture of different people who live and work in the area, the lovely Madison Square Park, and the beautiful architecture,” says Founder Marina.

BK Pilates Flatiron is open Monday through Friday from 7 am to 7 pm and weekends from 9 am to 2 pm.

2024 Community Survey Results

From January through early February, we received nearly 1,000 survey responses about the neighborhood and our work at the Partnership. Here are a couple takeaways:

Takeaway 1: The Partnership’s response audience stabilized one year after expanding services and continues to diversify.

Takeaway 2: Compared to other neighborhoods, Flatiron and NoMad have improved perceptions of cleanliness and homelessness.

Broadway Vision Expands Through Flatiron

We’re pleased to share that the NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) has announced the next phase of Broadway Vision to bring the street improvement project from 21st Street to 17th Street this spring.

Milling and repaving on Broadway from 21st Street to 17th Street will start around March 18th in advance of planned pedestrian, cyclist, and public space design enhancements along the corridor later this spring.

Broadway Vision seeks to improve pedestrian and bicycle safety while creating new public spaces along Broadway from Columbus Circle to Union Square, and include the recently transformed NoMad Piazza and shared streets between 21st and 31st Streets.

Eligible food establishments are now welcome to apply for New York City’s permanent outdoor dining program, Dining Out NYC.

Dining Out NYC was launched to provide a lasting outdoor dining program that builds upon the success of the temporary program while addressing quality-of-life concerns.

Midtown South Mixed-Use Plan: The NYC Department of Planning invites the public to learn more about the MSMX Plan by speaking directly with city planners and using their digital engagement tools to help understand the strengths, challenges, and opportunities for growth in Midtown South.

NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY): As of March 1st, all businesses must containerize their trash by using rigid containers with secure lids when setting out trash for collection. Learn more here.

Street Closures
