START WITH LOVE: PRIDE IN FLATIRON & NOMAD

Happy Pride! The Flatiron NoMad Partnership proudly presents Start With Love: PRIDE in Flatiron & NoMad, our annual cultural program honoring Pride Month and celebrating our neighborhood’s legacy as the official starting point of the historic NYC Pride March.

Throughout June, we’re spotlighting the joy, creativity, and inclusivity that make Flatiron & NoMad a place where everyone is welcome to gather and celebrate love in all its forms – through vibrant placemaking, the iconic Pride March, and support for our LGBTQIA+ owned businesses across the district.

Movers & Shakers: Victoria Mussi, Audio Visual Manager at SoMad

In honor of Pride Month, we recently had the opportunity to interview Victoria Mussi, Audio Visual Manager at SoMad, the femme and queer led, independent art space and artist residency program located at 34 East 23rd Street, 4th Floor.

“Flatiron and NoMad is a neighborhood with real creative and cultural history and a lot of energy, our programming might be different from what’s around us, and the difference is the point!,” says Victoria. “[…] The neighborhood gives us energy and visibility, and in return we bring it audiences and programming it wouldn’t otherwise have. It’s a beautiful relationship.”
