Holiday Tree Lighting at Madison Square Park

On December 3rd join Madison Square Park Conservancy for their 112th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting sponsored by Flatiron NoMad Partnership. The Festivities begin at 4:30PM with the lighting shortly after 5PM.

While at the Park, grab a seat at the large red Adirondack chair co-sponsored by Flatiron NoMad Partnership. Explore more festive outdoor seating along Broadway and snap a #RedChairSelfie for a chance to win local prizes.

National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath) Announces Move to New Location in Flatiron

It’s official! The National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath) is expected to open their new location at 635 Sixth Avenue in 2026, which will nearly double the size of its original location.

In the meantime, visit MoMath’s temporary space at 225 Fifth Avenue that’s open daily.

NYC Funds Finder: From NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS), NYC Funds Finder is NYC’s first no-cost online capital marketplace for small business owners. Create your account to find available loan and grant resources, or connect with free one-on-one financing assistance.

DSNY Residential Waste Containerization Program: As of November 12th, new rules are now in effect to begin containerizing all residential trash. All properties with 1-9 residential units will be required to use bins with secure lids to set out trash for collection. Join an upcoming virtual info session to learn more about DSNY’s new containerization rules.

Construction Notice: The NYC Department of Design & Construction (DDC) announced pedestrian ramp construction will soon begin at various locations in Manhattan and Queens to upgrade ramps to ADA specifications. The anticipated completion of the entire project is September 2026. Location specific advisories will be distributed 72 hours prior to the start of work at each corner. Locations in Flatiron and NoMad include Madison Avenue from East 23rd Street to East 36th Street.
