Upcoming Street Closures for 6/3 & 6/4

 

 

 

FIFTH AVENUE FILM SHOOT – JUNE 3

A large film production will be capturing a driving scene on Fifth Avenue from 23rd Street south to 17th Street this Saturday, June 3 from 4 am – 2 pm. NYC DOT has placed trailblazing message boards outlining street closures near filming locations. NYPD will be on-site to assist with traffic management, and MTA buses will be rerouted. A subsequent shoot will take place on Saturday, June 17. Street closures include:

  • Closed to vehicular traffic (PLEASE MOVE ALL PARKED VEHICLES BY 10 pm ON FRIDAY, JUNE 2)
    • Fifth Avenue from 23rd Street to 17th Street
    • 22nd Street between Broadway and Sixth Avenue
    • 21st Street between Broadway and Sixth Avenue
    • 20th Street between Broadway and Sixth Avenue
    • 19th Street between Broadway and Sixth Avenue
    • 18th Street between Broadway and Sixth Avenue
  • Open to vehicular traffic
    • Broadway
    • Sixth Avenue
    • Park Avenue South
    • 23rd Street and north
    • 17th Street and south

PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE – JUNE 4

The 125th Philippine Independence Day Parade is Sunday, June 4. Festivities extend from 8 am – 7 pm on Madison Avenue from 38th to 24th Street. The event schedule is as follows:

  • 8 am – 9:30 am: Flag Raising Ceremony & Mass
  • 11:45 am – 11:59 am: Opening Ceremony & Ribbon Cutting, Madison Avenue and East 38th Street
  • 12 pm – 2 pm: Parade, Madison Avenue from 38th Street to 27th Street
  • 11 am – 6 pm: Street Fair, East 26th Street between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue South
  • 2 pm – 6 pm: Cultural Festival, East 25th Street and Madison Avenue
