New Neighbor: Bear Donut

We’re excited to welcome Bear Donut to the neighborhood at 40 West 31st Street. The retro American donut shop with South Korean flair offers unique flavors, soft serve, coffee, and specialty drinks.

“Bear Donut is thrilled to join this neighborhood which makes us really feel like we are part of NYC,” says Founder Honey Kim.

Flavors we’re dying to try include Lavender, Pink Chocolate, and Macha Custard Cream Puff.

Historic Rise of Neighborhood Rooftop Bars & Gardens

Rooftop bars and gardens are a summer favorite, especially here in Flatiron and NoMad (there are nearly a dozen)! Local spots sporting great skyline views include 230 FIFTHThe Glass Ceiling, and SERRA by Birreria, among others.

This month, the Flatiron NoMad Partnership recalls the history behind the neighborhood launch of the outdoor venues that were once known as “castles in the air.”
