Winter Storm Warning in Effect for NYC

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for NYC beginning at 3 AM on Sunday, January 25th through 6 PM on Monday, January 26th. Snow accumulation of 6 to 12 inches is possible, which may cause significant travel difficulties.

Our dedicated Clean Team will be in the neighborhood shoveling snow and spreading salt to help clear pedestrian paths on the Flatiron Public Plazas beginning early Sunday morning.

Property and business owners should be prepared to do their part to keep the community safe by removing snow and ice from sidewalks outside their buildings. As a reminder, property and vehicle owners may not shovel snow into the street nor into bicycle or bus lanes.

NYCEM offers New Yorkers tips on staying safe before, during, and after winter storms at on.nyc.gov/winterweather.

Additional information about the City’s winter weather response is available here.
