New Neighbor: Arrive

We’re excited to welcome Arrive, the new co-working space and platform for fitness and wellness professionals.

“We’re excited to join Flatiron NoMad because health and wellness outcomes are boosted with community connection,” says Founder Jared Kaplan.

The new flagship located at 129 West 29th Street in NoMad features private training and Pilates studios, treatment rooms, and a multi-functional space for corporate wellness, private classes, and events.

History: The James New York-NoMad

To celebrate NYC Hotel Week 2024, we’re sharing notable history highlights of participating hotel, The James New York-NoMad.

Located at 22 East 29th Street, The James New York-NoMad made its debut as the Hotel Seville in 1904. A century later, the hotel was named to the National Register of Historic Places list in 2005 and designated a landmark by the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission in 2018.

Learn more about the Beaux-Arts style hotel along Madison Avenue.

Midtown South Mixed-Use Plan: Resident Roundtable

The NYC Department of City Planning will hold a virtual Roundtable for residents of Midtown South tomorrow, Thursday, January 18th at 6:30 pm. The Roundtable will discuss the following topics:

  • Housing opportunities
  • Jobs, businesses and services
  • Streets, open spaces, sidewalks and infrastructure

Midtown South Mixed-Use Plan Survey: The NYC Department of Planning invites the public to fill out a brief survey to help understand the strengths, challenges, and opportunities for growth in Midtown South.

Get Key Area Updates via Text: We have launched a text message alert system to provide business and property owners the latest information and updates in Flatiron & NoMad. Sign up by texting INFO23 to (844) 762-0837 or fill out our Google Form here.

Plaza Kiosk Updates: Eataly Kiosk, on the Flatiron North Plaza, will be closed for part of the winter season with planned reopening February 7th. Flatiron Plate, on the Flatiron South Plaza, will remain open through January but will be closed the full month of February.

Street Closures:

  • East 24th Street between Park Avenue South and Madison Avenue will be closed from 6 am to 4 pm Saturday and Sunday through January 28th to facilitate crane operation.
