Movers & Shakers: Migdalia Torres, Director of Sales & Marketing at Martinique New York on Broadway

We recently had the opportunity to interview Migdalia Torres, Director of Sales & Marketing at Martinique New York on Broadway, the landmark hotel in NoMad.

“Being part of Flatiron & NoMad has really shaped the way we look at the guest experience,” says Migdalia. “Our location gives us the best of both worlds, as we are surrounded by the energy and excitement of New York City, while also being part of a neighborhood that has its own personality, culture, restaurants, businesses, and experiences. For our guests, the neighborhood becomes an extension of the hotel.”

Beginning September 1, 2026, businesses located within the Midtown South Commercial Waste Zone (CWZ)–which includes the Flatiron & NoMad Neighborhoods–must have a new waste collection agreement with a DSNY-authorized CWZ carter.

If your business currently contracts directly with a private waste hauler, please note that new contracts must be signed by August 31, 2026. If a new agreement is not in place by September 1, DSNY will assign your business an authorized carter at the maximum allowable rate and minimum allowable pickup frequency.
